To ensure the safety of our road users in New Zealand and ensure that vehicles being registered on the roads meet environmental standards, Waka Kotahi (New Zealand Transport Agency) requires confirmation of the vehicles build standards. Since 2011, we have been providing certificates accepted by Waka Kotahi (NZTA) to prove the standards of European market vehicles imported into New Zealand, where they do not have an acceptable European Type Approval Number. As an established company, SOC NZ Limited supply certificates which include the latest emission standards, as required to comply with the Clean Car Discount (01/04/2022) and the Clean Car Standard (coming into force 01/01/2023).

In partnership with TÜV SÜD, we are able to produce full statements of compliance and emission certificates which confirm the build standards of European market vehicles which have a 17 digit VIN number.
